Identity comes from the Jupiter graph, not civicgraph's Aura. The gate on this page is UX only — the API re-checks the role on every request.

Three connections the server makes — none of them the browser sign-in in step 4. Places come from civicgraph's own Aura, observations from BigQuery, and the Jupiter Aura instance is read on every request to re-check your role. Step 4 can pass while this one fails: you'd sign in fine and then every call would 401. The fourth is local: the SQLite file holding run history and the trigger queue, checked for schema and writability, since every pipeline trigger writes to it.
